I miss these guys.
My current project, Algorithm, is an effort to provide a logical explanation for why mankind exists. Sure enough, I use science fiction hooks to get the reader into the story, but each and every scientific fact discussed in the novel is real, thus the conclusions drawn are compelling.
Did you know that 98% of our DNA codes for something scientists refer to as "junk DNA"? Isn't it odd that man, presumably the most intelligent and advanced lifeform on Earth, carries around so much junk while lower life forms have much less junk DNA?
Nature seldom wastes energy on anything She has created ... could it be that the junk DNA has a very special purpose?
Did you know that in 1891 Mrs. Culp found a gold medallion in a lump of coal? Coal can take anywhere from tens of thousands to hundreds of milliions of years to form. Got goose pimples yet?
